Rondo of Blood (KMCD3005) never left Japan, so the Japanese disc is the only copy there is. Two different Super Famicom games share a Japanese title with the Famicom original, and only the product code tells them apart.

Castlevania Development History, Part 1: The Disk That Vanished and the Cartridge That Replaced It

Shops overwrote Famicom Disk System disks for 500 yen, so the first Castlevania that actually circulates today is Konami's 1993 ROM cartridge, RV003. The Japanese Castlevania III cartridge also carries a VRC6 sound chip the NES could not use.
